Who is the Organization Committee?

The Organization Committee gets everyone working toward the same goal and assembles the appropriate human and financial resources to continue the Main Street revitalization program.  MainStreet Plainfield is made up of a governing Board of Directors and four committees all consisting of hard working volunteers as well as a paid Executive Director.  This set up helps to divide the workload and define responsibilities so that MainStreet can run like a well-oiled machine.

We are always looking for energetic, enthusiastic people to further the goals of the MainStreet Plainfield organization.  MainStreet understands the importance of individual contribution and values your participation no matter how big or small.  Here are a few ways you can help:

Volunteer.   MainStreet Plainfield, Inc. is built upon the efforts of our volunteers.  Whether it’s assisting with downtown special events or helping with specific organizational projects, your skills can be a valuable asset to downtown Plainfield.

Committee Membership.  People are needed to serve on the four working committees:  Design, Economic Restructuring, Organization, and Promotion.  Have a special interest or skill?  We can steer you to the committee that will prove the most rewarding for your time.  Committees typically meet once a month.

Become a Partner.  MainStreet Plainfield, Inc. is funded by contributions from local government, businesses, building owners, and individuals … everyone who believes in our mission to preserve and enhance historic downtown Plainfield.  We are also funded by proceeds from special events and fundraisers.  MainStreet Plainfield, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation; therefore, all donations are tax deductible.
